Running SIL houses on Girilang.

It keeps the housing records of a supported independent living home: each housemate’s room and tenancy, and the condition reports, repairs, keys and documents that belong to the house. Your care software keeps the rostering, notes and claims; Girilang sits beside it.

No. Keep your care management software for supports. Girilang holds the house’s records, so they stay put if the support provider changes.

Yes. Add the house and its rooms, and record each housemate’s tenancy in their room. Keep the head lease in the property’s documents and the owner as a contact, so the agreement and the person to call sit with the house.

Whichever your organisation uses for the room: the NSW standard tenancy agreement, or your own wording built in the document editor and kept as a template. Housemates sign from a private link and need no Girilang account. Whether a residential tenancy or another agreement applies is a question for your state’s fair trading body or a lawyer.

Yes. Address a new email to the house by name and every current housemate is included. All of them see each other’s address, so keep it to house news, such as a visitor, a repair or a fire drill.

Yes. Add guardians, family members, coordinators and the house’s tradespeople as contacts, and write to any of them from the inbox; each conversation stays separate.

Owners and managers. Anyone you invite as read-only can view the house but not edit it, and key codes stay hidden from them. Housemates never see your records.

Yes. On an iPhone or iPad they can walk a room for a condition report, photograph a repair and look up a door code. Any other phone can open the web app in its browser.

Housemates pay nothing and need no account. Your organisation pays one subscription, sized by properties and rooms as the plans above show, after a 14-day free trial; a card is needed to begin.
